It may be that the version is not compatible with your graphics card. Make sure to update all graphics drivers and ensure you are updated to the latest version of Minecraft. ^AM

If you have any third-party software or launchers such as MCLeaks installed, make sure to uninstall and run an Antivirus sweep for malware so that nothing can interfere with the authentication servers. Let us know if you find anything or you're still running into trouble! ^AM

Unfortunately, you are not eligible for the Vanilla Cape as you do have to own both versions on PC to be able to obtain the cape. ^TK
