You'll need to go to the Microsoft Store listing for Minecraft: Java & Bedrock for PC & sign-in with your Microsoft account. Once you’re signed in, instead of a “Buy” button you should see a button that says “Get.” Click this & you should now own both editions! ^FF

Mojang doesn't store any info on individual worlds; those files only exist locally on your device. Unfortunately, we're unable to recover lost Minecraft worlds. We recommend reading bit.ly/3c9PK76 or using the Realms feature to store your world online in the future. ^FF

Are you seeing any errors when you try to add friends in Minecraft? Any additional details that you can provide will help, such as if this is for Java or Bedrock, and which platform(s) you play on (i.e. PlayStation, Xbox, Windows, etc.) ^FF

Does this only happen on one world, or is this happening on any world or realm? Can you let us know if this is for Java or Bedrock, and what troubleshooting steps you've already tried (if any) to address this issue? ^FF

Best option here may be to refund the purchase and then purchase it on the correct account. Was it the Windows 10 Edition or the Java Edition? ^TK

You will need to reach out to Xbox/Microsoft Support for assistance in this matter as they are the ones that will help you recover the account. nitter.vloup.ch/xboxsupport or support.xbox.com ^TK
A couple steps to try is uninstall/reinstall and check the firewall/antivirus to see if Minecraft has permissions! The antivirus/firewall may view it as a threat and could cause crashing. ^TK
That is incorrect! If you have paid for the game on your Xbox then you should be able to play it without any issues. You do not need gamepass to play your purchased version of the game. ^TK
