You should be able to change the render distance by going to the main menu > video settings > and scroll all the way down. There are limitations for the max render distance on consoles, however, so if you're unable to increase past a certain amount, that would be why. ^FF

You do not need to have a Mojang account to claim your copy of Java if you already have the Windows Bedrock version of the game. Are you still running into any issues with claiming your copy? ^FF
