Have you ensured all your multiplayer settings are correct? If you happen to have a console version of the game have you ensured you have the correct subscription to enable multiplayer? Once we have more information we'd be happy to look into this further. ^AC

If it's working on a different laptop fine then something phishy is going on with the one we're having issues with. Try a clean reinstall of the client and maybe run as admin. If that doesn't work then we may be out of options for that laptop. ^TK

Minecraft Java is available for MAC, however, the bedrock versionof the game is not. What error are you getting when trying to purchase Minecraft: Java Edition and did you try another browser? ^TK
