Transferring content/characters between accounts isn't something that's possible at this time sadly. If it's a purchased character you would need to purchase that on your sons account directly. ^AC

The promotion you're referring to is for PC only. I'm afraid only the Windows 10 bedrock edition of the game is available for that promo. You would not be able to use that account on your Mobile device. ^AC
