If the purchase was made after Dec 1, 2020, then it started out as a Microsoft account. (Mojang accounts could only be created prior to that date.) If that's the case, then you don't need to migrate, and you're all set! ^NS

If you purchased Java Edition before Dec 1, 2020, then you'll be able to migrate and be eligible for a Migrator cape. If you purchased Java more recently though, you started off with a Microsoft account so you would not be eligible for the cape. ^NS
