How should President Biden and other top Democrats be responding to Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential bid — or should they respond at all? Watch @MollyJongFast’s exchange with @mehdirhasan:
It may seem like the right-wing media is over Donald Trump — but they’re not abandoning him anytime soon.
“The trope of the person in the horror movie who thinks the villain is dead … and then comes back and gets you," @GoAngelo says, "doesn't help anybody."
It's official: Donald Trump is running for president in 2024. But @mehdirhasan wants to know how the media will cover his campaign this time around. “We can’t afford to ignore the man who incited a deadly insurrection against the United States of America,” he says.
Twitter has been a complete mess — and @EdMarkey has a message for its new owner: “Fix your companies, or Congress will.”

The man who summoned a mob to try to overturn an election has announced he’s running for president again. So how do we cover the Trump campaign?

Elon Musk argued in court that an SEC consent decree doesn't apply to him.
@EdMarkey has a message for @elonmusk: “He can do whatever he wants inside of those companies. But when he’s dealing with the federal govt. … that is not permissible.”

ICYMI: The cost of insulin in the U.S. is much higher than it is in many other countries. Just look at the graph below!
So, @mehdirhasan asks, even if insulin isn’t free like the fake Eli Lilly Twitter account claimed, shouldn’t it still be cheaper? youtube.com/watch?v=zaRB8CNG…
Dems just earned a near-clean sweep of the most brazen and dangerous election-denying candidates. So can democracy breathe a sigh of relief? Not quite.

Rep.-elect Maxwell Frost on Biden's student debt cancellation: "Young people, we're in debt not because we live beyond our means, but because we've been denied the means to live. And that's why it's so important that this actually happens."
Mehdi Hasan: It’s weeks past Halloween, but the midterm elections still managed to raise some political careers from the dead. Let’s call them "zombie politicians." on.msnbc.com/3UWXVET
Big Pharma and insurance companies are raking in huge profits from exorbitant insulin prices — money that they’re donating to candidates in DC.
“It’s protection money,” @wendellpotter tells @mehdirhasan. WATCH:
Even if insulin isn’t free like the fake Eli Lilly Twitter account claimed, shouldn’t it still be much cheaper than it is?
“We know we’re being ripped off,” @awgaffney tells @mehdirhasan. “We need to make this medication available to all who need it without cost barriers.”
Pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly is among the latest to suffer from Elon Musk's chaotic Twitter verification system. But "Let’s focus on the real issue at stake," @mehdirhasan says. "What can we actually do to lower insulin costs?”
It's likely that Kevin McCarthy will be the next Speaker, and “one of the weakest speakers we’ve ever seen,” @SykesCharlie says.
"Imagine somebody as untalented as [him] trying to run the House … when you know that you have an emboldened nutcase caucus," he tells @mehdirhasan.
Law professor Richard Briffault says democracy can breathe a "medium-sized sigh of relief" after the midterms. "We’ve got to keep our eyes on the electoral system, particularly at the local level."
But that stack of papers on his desk is making us a little bit nervous...
Pundits said the midterms would be a referendum on the economy. Dems ignored that advice and campaign on a message of democracy and women’s rights. “Americans absolutely do care about our most fundamental rights,” @MsPackyetti tells @mehdirhasan.
.@brahmresnik says it was a “really big mistake” for Kari Lake to denigrate the late Sen. John McCain during her failed gubernatorial bid.
“John McCain was respected in Arizona on both sides of the aisle,” he tells @mehdirhasan.
In every key swing state, every Trump-backed, election-denying candidate running for governor, attorney general or secretary of state lost. Every. Single. One.
So, by @mehdirhasan's logic, doesn’t that make Donald Trump… a loser?
If you've been watching Twitter implode this week, you've likely seen the parody account that promised free insulin. And it raises a great question: Why does this vital drug cost so much in the U.S.?
