“Is Trump beating Biden in some swing state polls because voters aren’t aware of Trump's authoritarianism? Or is it that a lot of them are quite keen on it?” @mehdirhasan asks @TaraSetmayer how susceptible the U.S. is today to the threat of authoritarianism.

I wonder how many weeks the so-called progressives are going to trumpet this poll. Besides being flawed, it’s obviously a coercion. “Do what we say or we’ll abandon you to your fate.” With friends like these… Frankly, I’d rather team up with the never-trump republicans.

They are keen on it, as long as it’s their authoritarian. They love his lawless, authoritarian nature. That’s why the needle never moves, regardless of what he spews, or what laws he breaks.

No, it’s because Biden is bought and paid for
The Big Guy meets with his boss:
No it’s because they see that Biden is an idiot.
Those polls are significantly flawed. I get it that these cable news shows need to create impressions and clicks, etc. but at some point these producers need to be innovative in their approach to creating content for these cable news shows.
Trump? Have you met the BIDEN REGIME? They arrest their political opponent and target parents at school board meetings. Authoritarianism would be this administration. No one comes close.
Modern polling is essentially a measure of enthusiasm, not proportional support. Trump has a very high floor for enthusiasm but a very low ceiling of support. A year out from the election is not typically an enthusiastic period for voters.
