“Is Trump beating Biden in some swing state polls because voters aren’t aware of Trump's authoritarianism? Or is it that a lot of them are quite keen on it?” @mehdirhasan asks @TaraSetmayer how susceptible the U.S. is today to the threat of authoritarianism.

Maybe, just maybe, it's because it's one year out and if better candidates materialize they'll be ones supported. Wishful thinking.
...or because the people inside his administration who kept everything from going completely off the rails the first time did TOO good a job and kept quiet about it so everyone assumes we just won't go off the rails the NEXT time, either because "It can't happen here."
Oh Geeze lol I shouldn’t laugh😂 but I read this while I’m melting down over how real the threat to US is — I’m guessing, US is pretty susceptible and swing state voters who answer polls (have landlines, answer blocked numbers on their cell) are keen on Fascism

Lol another grifter from The Lincoln project does MSNBC not research their guests? Just google The Lincoln project and read!
Maybe polling less than 2k people may have something to do with it.

Polls are NOT real, they are talking points for media and clicks on websites. Trump isn't winning shit
Well, that could very well be, but I for one don’t find the polls credible.
