.@NYSenatorRamos says Mayor Adams' remarks that the migrant crisis will destroy the city are a scapegoating tactic to avoid addressing long-standing issues. "It's just been a domino effect and a reflection of all the crises that New Yorkers were suffering before this situation."

Who knew that there could be someone worse than the last one?
Stop saying "immigrants built the country". Immigrants now come to benefit & put a strain on resources of an already built country. Back then they endured poverty, disease, in a brutal undeveloped land & expected nothing from anyone. What applied in 1600s cannot apply now.

All day the press has been regurgitating Adams words, but what they should really be doing is running the numbers to see if there's truth to what he says because something tells me the data won't match the rhetoric.

BTW, Ramos.... you didn't get here legally either.
New York - famously brittle and unable to absorb immigrants.

The main reason we have insufficient and inadequate housing in NYC is bc of the #FinancializationOfHousing that’s been happening for years and is now creating housing crises in multiple cities — all while shiny new apartment and office towers stand empty.
