Thank you for this, Mehdi. However, "lazy" implies no effort or purpose. Billionaires who funded the recall are not lazy & they definitely have purpose - ending democracy.

Progressive politics presents a direct challenge to centrist and corporate power structures. That is why we will always face strong opposition from monied interests. The question is how do we take them on and win, while continuing to build progressive power.

The same monied interests driving the DA & school board recalls were emboldened by their successes in purely negative races, without the usual spending limits. We’ll see if tech, RE & finance can win real races, as they become openly right-wing & an actual platform is expected.
