"Most of the ethnically-based civil wars are started by people who had once been dominant in a country but are in decline demographically." @bfwalter says the U.S. is closer to a civil war than most would like to believe.

I couldn't find evidence to support the claim that "Most of the ethnically-based civil wars are started by people who had once been dominant in a country but are in decline demographically." Can anyone link to research around this assertion?

100%. The Great Migration leading to this has already started. PNW & West Coast along with NE US are receiving an influx of younger, more liberal folks while conservatives/older are heading to the Midwest/South. It’s a matter of when, not if.

I'm not sure I needed to see this a few hours before bedtime. It is, however, generally chilling to see the number of prominent Republicans supporting calls to violence.
