Jaffer is ex Bush White House and DOJ so he should know that even US and UK courts have conceded that Julian Assange is a card-carrying & award-winning journalist. This kind of "debate" does nothing to educate viewers. So what's the real point of it? #FreeASSANGE

Pursuing #Assange for publishing truthfull information re US war crimes is damaging the US. The hypocrisy of @POTUS calling out that journalism is not a crime whilst continuing with this case is shocking. The US gov must unconditionally #DropTheCharges and #FreeJulianAssangeNOW
