.@mehdirhasan: “Here’s what I want to do to mark Kissinger’s 100th birthday: I want to talk about some of the many, many people around the world who didn’t get to live till 100, or even 60, 70, or 80, *because* of Henry Kissinger.”

When his time comes, I hope to find his resting spot and piss on it.

I love that Mehdi is a thorn in the side of career politicians on both sides of the divide. We continuously champion the leaders of our party as morally upstanding while washing the blood off their hands.

Thank you Mehdi. Kissinger is a bloody mess of a man! I’m going to read that book after I finish reading yours, Win Every Argument. Great book!

Kissinger's trademark ethical apotheosis 'balance of power' reminds me of 'two countries-one system' (or is it 'one country-two systems'?), 'strategic ambiguity' (Biden walking this back, bravo), & other ends-justifies-the-means ethical recipes for inaction, regime-changing @VP
He's alive because "mala yierba nunca muere"...I met him once-- wish I'd have had the guts to call him out. My mother always said what an evil man he was.
When Henry Kissinger received the German "Karlspreis" in 1987, I remember thinking, WTF.

I could appreciate this a lot more if you didn't champion & cheerlead those same wars.

Hitchens was right. I’m glad someone has been brave enough to talk about this.
