“It’s a strange thing to realize that even in power if you ask Republicans what they want, they can’t tell you. They just know what they don’t want,” @RadioFreeTom calls out Republicans for their lack of policy when it comes to negotiating the debt ceiling.

Why is it necessary to have someone like Tom on who has been wrong about the Republican Party for his entire existence to say what an actual liberal blogger has been saying for YEARS. Digby… Driftglass etc can talk about republicans without the decades of baggage Tom carries

What I’ve gotta ask is why you need a guy like Tom to say what an actual liberal like @Digby or @Driftglass

I know they don’t want what is best for women, people of color, children or the LGTBQ community. Their actions and policies are meant to hurt, marginalize and impose their will.

Anyone, of either party, that would allow the US to default on its debt, when it doesn't have to, is engaging in anarchy. We have no idea how bad it could be. The too big to fail banks? They all own Treasuries. The depression could look like a cakewalk.
They want an authoritarian christo-fascist America. Watch what they DO, not so much what they say. Actions speak louder than their lies with the GQP.

Republicans are motivated to default on the debt. They want to light a flame to the economy then say biden cannot effectively negotiate and you have to elect republicans to have any stability.
