Selfishness at another. Senators the worst at holding on to office refusing to let go the baton of power till you pry it from their cold dead hands.

Dems in leadership aren’t doing a good conveying the urgency to confirms judges. Feinstein’s staff is doing an awful job communicating in her absence. At this point I’m going to believe Feinstein is in cahoots with GOP because she’s is thwarting some of Biden’s judicial picks.

And where are the 60 votes necessary to allow for her replacement on committee? Seriously. Asking for her resignation without that assurance is reckless. Not only do we potentially lose that committee seat, but her ability to vote by proxy if they decide to subpoena.

So important that @barbaraboxer is saying this. With Sen Feinstein, she is one of the best Senators my state has had. But it is time for Feinstein, admired since her SF BoS days & for whom I’ve been happy to vote in every statewide election, to return or retire. Immediately.
