The Dems won't do anything because they never want to "rock the boat" and appear partisan. They'll always let the GOP create the narrative and never pushback.
I understand the Republican lead congress not acting on Clarence Thomas's corruption! But the Democrats in the Senate not acting would be highly problematic! Not only for the Judiciary, and the DOJ, but the entire Nation!
