.@MehdiRHasan has one message for everyone following the story of Donald Trump’s "unprecedented" indictment, especially his fellow journalists: We’ve got the entire framing wrong.

Gotta love Mehdi Hassan’s new book. Props to his dad. Rule of three applies here: 1. MH opinion reveals he doesn’t understand the American experience. 2. In America, you can lead or follow, but you can’t hide. 3. Anybody can sue or indict anybody, it’s the adjudication that matters, not opinion.

Thought about this in particular with the fed taxes -hidden seemingly under a perpetual IRS audit blanket - and wondering why it doesn't look like he's been held to account by the IRS, unlike most Americans who look like, in what might be Trump words, "suckers."
Mob boss crossed with a cult leader crossed with a political demagogue - quite the Frankenstein monster
Thanks Medhi, you always see clearly. The manipulations, propaganda and lies are so insidious now that too many people don’t bother to think for themselves. THAT is a necessary component in installing an authoritarian regime.
This says a lot about the public servants who let this monster get away with his crimes
I hope this indictment opens a virtuous Pandora's Box that is beneficial to our Democracy, especially in terms of holding Trump accountable then other lawmakers long involved in financial crimes with impunity--GOP and Dem alike. Trump's drain the swamp may pan out after all.

Watched the show yesterday. Agree 100%. Trump will finally face the law of the land. What’s unprecedented is that he has danced around accountability for so long. Too long.
