“I’m not purposefully trying to be alarmist. But in the face of a pandemic that *is not over,* complacency is almost as bad as alarmism.” As a new Covid variant rapidly spreads across the country, @mehdirhasan says the U.S. is setting itself up for more coronavirus failure:

Here is why, after a few months of getting the vax u have a greater chance of catching covid. Unless of course every 2 months u get a new shot (The perfect pharma product....)
You are fighting a war that is already over
Masks didn't work, the "vax" didn't work, the boosters didn't work, the 6ft stickers didn't work, closing schools didn't work, closing businesses didn't work, the plexiglass didn't work. It's endemic. Move on. You've now become the "science deniers" that you hated.
Covid is over. You must have a financial interest to keep this fear campaign going. Just stop. Drugs on top of drugs on top of drugs. They have solved nothing and likely kill people.

When is Mehdi going to update his fan club members on Sweden’s excess mortality compared to their neighbors?

It’s a cold. The only defence is and always has been the human immune system. The best we can do is to augment it where appropriate. Jabs for the most vulnerable, exercise, diet and nutrition, fresh air, antivirals where appropriate. But they are augmenting, *not* replacing.

Now that vaccines are readily available, as are masks, how about whoever should get vaccinated and wants to get boosted does (older people, people with low immunity etc) and those who prefer to wear a mask, go ahead and wear one. I mean really, what else can be done?

I'm vaccinated but compromised. I mask but mostly isolate. I'll probably eventually die from covid and it pisses me off. Almost nobody cares.

In the context of a pandemic wherein you can get reinfected again and again, what exactly is "alarmism"? Being more concerned than average? O_o
