What went wrong w/ the Southwest Airlines crisis? Not just a broken airline industry, @WilliamJMcGee says, but a lack of regulation. Transportation Secy. Buttigieg “has been a very big disappointment,” he tells @mehdirhasan. “He has not gotten tough with the worst offenders.”

And if he did come down hard with regulations FOX would bitch him out.
It all comes down to Corporations owning politicians.

Yeah. Starting to worry that ol’ Pete is an “all hat, no cattle” kinda guy. Disappointing.
When an industry that got massive bailouts turn around after regaining a high measure of health and waste their profits on short-term perks for shareholders (and company executives) while ignoring both their antiquated internal infrastructure and pilot labor issues---this follows

Since the 1970s the federal government has been deregulating the airlines. But it also happens that the federal government has been bailing out the industry when times get very rough. Congress must create a new regulatory framework to the airlines.

If Buttigieg is unwilling to use the power that only he can use to go after the big airlines (they're not afraid of him), then give the power to the 38 AG's (including mine) who are ready to sue the pants off the airlines. So far, not impressed with Buttigieg.

This problem has been in the making for many more years than Pete Buttigieg has been in any form of government.
