This is remarkedly similar to 1930's Germany. Hitler had lost the popular vote and waged a "war" of terror through the SS. In the end the government was toppled and the Nazi's were installed by the Chancellor. THAT'S when the suffering REALLY STARTED...

2 days ago, an over-60 gay man w/a disabled husbandsaid to me, “It’s just the usual back & forth, right? Politics is always like this.” Proceeded to tell him otherwise w/receipts…& how GOP will decimate his life. Thankfully, he got it - though sadly I ruined his day.
