Why are Democrats talking about "kitchen table" issues instead of the threat to democracy? “I just want [them]…to bring, finally, a knife to a knife fight and not just bring a pencil,” @WajahatAli says. Watch his convo w/ @mehdirhasan & @MollyJongFast on @MSNBConPeacock.

The GOP used the threat to the American way of life (cars burning in the streets, etc) to try to scare voters in 2020. We literally need to concentrate on that kitchen table, keeping it, not having to put stuff in storage & go to a shelter, & food on it.

This is foolish. Pure 100% idiocy. Not that I care. Go ahead & end the party's chances by not talking about what matters to people.
You freaks completely ignore the election denialism right in front of your face in your own party. You're a crime against journalism.
You are sure all the voters want to talk about this issue all the time? I guess that’s the same thinking of @RepJayapal sending the letter about Ukraine. Unless you have a good source to refute the Politico article that said she approved it on Monday.Pretty shameful blaming staff
Sadly those talking points are not going to win the election. The folks that are still in play aren’t grasping those big, philosophical questions. Dems have to make it clear they will put money in peoples pockets and Republicans will not. Unfortunately, it’s really that simple.

People dont care about politics when they cant even afford to eat or drive to work.... People have basic needs. You worrying about anything else shows your elitism.
Why are you pretending Dems didn't rig their primary, help put that orange lunatic in office ??? ... even dnc admitted to it
B/c dems always feel the need to lead by example and not get pulled into the ‘knife fight’ by the GOP…..they don’t want to lower themselves to the Right’s nonsense and pearl clutching!

Because they read the room (polling), most Democratic voters are more concerned with kitchen table issues.
