I don’t believe a word in her book for this very reason. That’s the consequence. You lose credibility! Everything in her book may be true, but no one is going to give a shit.
I totally agree with @SteveSchmidtSES here. I too, obviously not at the level of @maggieNYT, have had proximity to power people & the info they’d give me for stories: if “I played nice.” But there is a BOUNDARY & IMO MAGA Maggie crossed it a long time ago
I never by anyone’s book by Whitney withheld crucial information in order to make a buck. If you are forthcoming with vital info THEN write a book I’ll buy it.
Ethics? @maggieNYT doesn’t have ethics. If she did, she would have reported ( a journalist’s job) the shit she knew, when she knew it. Not sit on it - to cash in. Additionally she blocks anyone who disagrees with her bank robbery of knowledge.

But with this one particular subject (Trump) shocking revelations weree, and still are, a daily occurrence, so adding in more from reporters wouldn’t have moved the dial.

Her ethics and allegiances were crystal clear from 2015 or earlier. She gobbled down now-discredited Bannon disinfo garbage that attacked HRC.
