From a street gang to a major extremist movement, the Proud Boys see themselves as an enforcement arm of the Republican Party, @AndyBCampbell says. And despite 1/6, he tells @mehdirhasan, "There are still GOP officials who embrace them." Watch their convo on @MSNBConPeacock.

Why does it seem like projection whenever these issues are raised?
This is a prime example of the “stochastic terrorism“ that @GOP is using to endanger protests, enforce their hostile, illegal agenda and theft of the senate, judiciary, and presidency. They married the grievance politics of far-right to @NRA to create a shadow paramilitary.
And, should the GOP lose in November, there's a good chance that the roles will be reversed. The GOP will merely be the political wing of militant, armed groups, like the proud boys.
