Progressives failed to coalesce in NY's 10th district, and lost to centrist Dem. Dan Goldman in the primary. “I do hope that this is a lesson," @IlhanMN tells @mehdirhasan. "If we are not consolidating our efforts…then we face the reality of losing that seat."

The Yuh-Line Niou erasure here is gross

Terrible take. Erased the progressives frontrunner for convenience
Let me tell you what the lead story is out of #ny10: the ragtag campaign that refused corporate pacs and real estate support, that didn’t have personal wealth, but had a team of 1000 volunteers fighting for a better community is within 1.5% of the wealthy heir who spent millions

Oh sorry, did @IlhanMN endorse the clear progressive frontrunner in this race, or is she showing up to armchair quarterback after the fact?
“It’s a democracy and it’s unfortunate that this distract which clearly wanted a progressive voted for this centrist” Uh maybe they did not clearly want a progressive lol
This is an all to familiar image and it’s irresponsible for this network to continually promote Omar as a national figure. The Goldman win is a win for the Democrats party, and all of America, against the socialists insurgence. We almost beat her too.
And who should have dropped out Omar? The incumbant fighting for a second term? The qualified Hispanic State Rep endorsed by her own congresswoman? Yuhline was not a shoe-in, the race could have gone either way.
The lesson of course is to find other bi partisan issues like the support for a secure state of #Israel. This is the way to take the steps needed to retain #Congress

Are Progressives not in the Democratic Party? If so, why is this being touted as a "lost". Are the Progressives trying to become like the GOP Tea Party. Yuck to them as a base Democratic voter.
Seems like the left continues to not learn this lesson bc it keeps happening
