Could a former American president ever see the inside of a prison cell, @mehdirhasan asks. “I’m very skeptical,” @Milbank says. But “if we don't have the rule of law, we don't have anything else.” Watch the full interview on @MSNBConPeacock:

Suppose that the cell is padded with Two layers while all the others only get one?
We should build a new special Federal Prison. - The Secret Service operates out of a large office building on Ave. H, in DC. A new Federal Prison designed to hold one special person (maybe family members too) should be built inside the Secret Service office building.
Maybe we could just say he was just inspecting the prison cells?
House arrest, with Secret Service. Look at the other (non-dictator) countries that have convicted their top political leaders. It’s way more common than we think, but they don’t throw them in prison. House arrest. But works for me!
If he is convicted of the crimes we know he committed & they feel for some ridiculous reason that we can’t put a former U.S. president in prison, he should be stripped of all his real estate, including Trump Tower. That should be converted into housing for the homeless in NY.
By adopting "rule of law" to replace "no one is above the law", a lot of dodging and contradiction and insincerity is avoided. If either of these phrases is true, please drop the "former president" title from the conversation.
The chances of a Republican president giving Trump a pardon in 2025 are 100%.
The best case scenario is house arrest/ineligible to run.
I don’t like @Lawrence take on it. He says b/c ensured Secret Service protection of former Presidents, TFG will never go to prison. That’s absurd. Pretty certain prison guards could replace the SSA in that scenario. #JustSaying & a treasonous traitor doesn’t deserve protection
