.@mehdirhasan has asked the question far too many times: Where, oh where is the attorney general on an investigation into Trump? “The longer Merrick Garland and his DOJ hold off on going after Trump,” he says, “the harder it becomes — and the more emboldened Trump becomes.”

Everything is dependent on an old chip of the block.
I can only hold my breath so long! Merrick what are you waiting for?
Nope, you are off track on this one. Time is actually not that critical simply because there will be enough negative info revealed well before Nov 8 elections, and, no matter the election outcome, DOJ can prosecute the case thru Nov’24. So give credence to the fact that DOJ knows

Should have prosecuted him for the Individual #1 Stormy shit.
Please! Mehdi, you know as well as I do that it takes years to craft an airtight case AND that we don’t want to end up in a mistrial or retrial (because that first info can’t be presented again). Some of this info wasn’t avail 60 days ago b/c of stonewalling.
So how about shutting up about it. Clearly. Garland doesn’t consider your tiresome whining important to him.
..."the more emboldened Trump becomes" This exact thing happened with the Mueller report.

You’re kidding right? Do you think Garland is empaneling grand juries to interview witnesses like this just for shits and giggles?
Now even a bigger deal. VP Pence’s chief counsel Greg Jacob also appeared before grand jury in DOJ investigation of #January6th. One area of interest: The infamous Jan 4 Oval Office meeting with Trump, Eastman and Pence! @sgurman @aviswanatha report wsj.com/articles/justice-dep…

They're not "holding back", Mehdi. Grand juries are literally hearing testimony.
