Lawmakers have praised Pence for his actions on Jan. 6th but what does his fmr. aide @OliviaTroye have to say about his silence since then? “I’ve been calling for [Pence] to come forward,” she tells @MehdiRHasan. “If it were up to me, he should have come forward on January 7th.”

The House J6 Committee will let him slide. He would have to be subpoenaed by the DOJ depending upon whom they indict for the entire mess.

Pence did the right thing, when his neck was in the noose so to speak. Pence did the right thing bc he knew it was over. Pence is not a fool. Pence is not a hero. Pence did it for Pence.

Olivia Troye is a completely honest broker. I just love her.
Politicians who claim pence is a hero for doing his job. That's ludicrous. That's akin to Justice Sotomayor saying Clarence Thomas is a nice person, he's her friend. That's a statement to protect the supreme Court reputation just as politicians are trying to protect theirs 🤬

Maybe Dan Quayle could come forward on Mike Pence’s behalf, given that Pence seems to have outsourced his conscience to Quayle in the first place?

100% agree! @Mike_Pence is no savior or victim. He was an enthusiastic participant until he realized he’d be literally sacrificed whether the plan worked or not. There was nothing magnanimous about his refusal to get in the car with the @SecretService it was self preservation.
