.@JYSexton says Democrats are largely ignoring the rise of authoritarianism: "Something weird and insidious is happening, so why aren’t the leaders calling it what it is?” “I don’t think I’ve nodded so much during a guest answer for a long time,” @mehdirhasan replies.

The Schumers, Pelosis, and Bidens of the world are reluctant to tell the truth about what the Republican Party has become, and news outlets are reluctant to put people on the air who will. Is this because the rising authoritarian movement suits their own interests well enough?

Elephant in the room - STOP sending ca. $10Billion a week to bona fide NAZIS in Ukraine. AZOV einsatzgruppen were a guiding force for a White Supremacist mass-murderer in New Zealand who, in turn, was a guiding light for the White Supremacist mass-murderer in Buffalo. STOP.

Democrats don’t care it’s all a wonderful diversion to continue the status quo of pretending to care whilst fleecing the taxpayer and using above diversions for the mid terms.
The plutocrats who control both parties have decided that fascism will be the acceptable tool to protect predatory capitalism from economic justice. That is why we haven't seen a sane response to the rise of fascism.

Tragically, not naming the rise of authoritarianism - is itself a form of gaslighting. As unintended as the gaslighting may be, the consequences are the same: reduced sense of trust in government and in personal efficacy.

So … the problem is not MAGA, but Pelosi and Schumer not calling them out?! Like the problem Jan. 6 was not the attackers, but Pelosi not having the Capitol adequately defended. Too much misdirection and casting blame backwards.😢
