On the bright side, influenza cases and deaths completely disappeared in 2020-2021. It's almost as if one ailment simply got re-branded as another.

People seem to be under estimating both the profit motive and the racist white supremacy motive. Many sick people, and people in beds and requiring meds means immense profits, hence incentivized prolonging pandemic, just like capitalism incentivizes never ending wars.
