Why did Pence refuse to get into a car with Secret Service on Jan. 6? @CarolLeonnig tells @MehdiRHasan there’s still a lot we don’t know, but shares “there was great concern within [Pence’s circle] that the goal of moving him was to prevent the certification.”

Is this what @RepRaskin is referring to in his recent remark about the “…hearings will blow the roof off the house”?

Great question. This is key. Pence & aides need to testify

Alaska. I thought I heard her say that, but thought that couldn't POSSIBLY be right, so I listened again just to be sure. Alaska.

Whether Pence testifies or not, there’s no plausible grounds for the Secret Service agents who were on his detail not to testify, under a subpoena if necessary.

The Jan 6th committee interviewed Pence's chief-of-staff, legal counsel, nat'l security chief and press sec (and if they stonewalled, it'd be leaked). I suspect the four of them have given Jamie Raskin the answer to all that Pence knows.

It's been almost a year and a half and still some of the biggest questions haven't been answered.
That would be pretty extraordinary for the Secret Service to interfere with the certification of an election, even if the President ordered it ???🤷‍♀️😱
