Is multiracial democracy going backwards in America? The SCOTUS hearings were another example of the fact that we are in the midst of “a betrayal”, says @esglaude, after “the promise of hundreds of thousands of people showing up after George Floyd was murdered.”

Eddie, you're wrong! What you see as a Summer of Love we see as violence, black grievance, black Supremacy, cultural Marxism, identity politics and plain insanity! Remember buddy, the 1960s ended with Richard Nixon and charged! Blowback!

"Is multiracial democracy going backwards in America?" - without a doubt

Agree with you Sir, 100%. It is a betrayal. People getting tired of NOT being listened to by feckless politicians. We will have to save ourselves.
I disagree that we are going backwards. In the history of the US we have had 117 justices on the Supreme Court...and we have had 7 non-white men in those positions. We currently - with the almost assured confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson - we will have 5 NWM on the S Court

Damn what a line up. Awesome.

Was there ever multiracial democracy in America? Not being facetious, for real. But was there ever? Or the semblance of it was all we had?

@esglaude It’s because of the reaction to George Floyd’s murder. Republicans & especially trump didn’t like it. Now they want to make the left pay. Unfortunately they control the media..and not just rightwing either.

Yes. Agreed. Black Chicagoans have always seen that white liberals were as much a threat as the rabid racists of neighborhoods which we dared not go, even if they weren't coveted, economically.
