By most estimates, Russia has lost more soldiers in Ukraine in 4 weeks than the U.S. lost in Iraq - and Afghanistan - over 2 decades. "This," says @mehdirhasan, "is what Russia losing looks like." But that may actually worsen the killing, and the danger of wider war:

comparing NATO backed Ukraine who is getting tons of weapons/aid to the Taliban who received none.. If Taliban got anti tank weapons and drones we would have suffered way more causalities. Comparing these numbers is just so odd when the armies are not remotely the same.
