Cancelling debt for only a select group is like that group winning the GOVERNMENT LOTTERY. The fair solution is to restructure loans, reducing all interest & fees to zero so borrowers pay principal only. You’re losing Dem votes with this BS! @RepSwalwell

It's truly sad that @POTUS hasn't fulfilled his campaign promises. I'm turning 53 next month and still don't own a home because of my student loans. If I had known that my education would not get me anywhere financially, I never would have done it. It's a constant hell.

Always talking about corporate greed but so quick to send more money to greedy colleges. When did we stop writing a check for college? When the government invested in it

Do I get a rebate for paying off my student loans the last 15 years? Seems a bit unfair that some people have paid massively over the years and newcomers get off free.

She is really full of it. Everyone on income-based plans (the MOST needy) do not benefit a bit from reducing principal. B/c you r assessed 15% of income to pay and it ALL goes to interest. Your principal can be 10 dollars and you are still paying 5k - 7k+ to gov't for the debt.

And it’s not just the college kids with the debt- it’s the parents like us, who are now retired, and STILL paying for our children’s student loans! Just make them interest free so we have a chance of paying them off 🤷‍♀️👍
