Countries across Europe have opened their borders to Ukrainian refugees, but as @MehdiRHasan points out, it’s exposing a troubling double standard - both there and here in the U.S.:

I thank Angela Merkel for taking in millions of Syrian refugees at a time when the rest of Europe "had no capacity." I don't care what you're political ideology is, but Merkel was a great leader for doing that.
