Many international observers have – rightfully – expressed horror at the ongoing atrocities in Ukraine. However, as @MehdiRHasan and @AymanM point out, there have been more than a few instances where certain commentators’ shock at the war in Europe ebbs into outright racism.

Absolutely true.. this very casual racism to say that one war is better the other.. and someone’s suffering is more real than the suffering of others from Asia, Middle East! Also, the fake sense of righteousness to demand support in favor or against is not acceptable as well..

This is where we’re at: in order to make people care about savagery befalling other people, it has to be qualified that they’re sufficiently like ‘us’ - white/Christian/moreimportantlynotMuslimorBlack

War has been going on since the beginning of time. It’s a sick human characteristic. No one should be shocked. We don’t learn. But with the amount of information available in the world today, we should have learned how to work together to stop the people that start them.
That's ironic, considering Mehdi Hasan is a Jew hater, and a puppet of Qatar, a dictatorship that exports terror.
Mehdi, its not only the media coverage. Bulgarian Prime Minister doesn't care to hide which kind of people he wants to welcome

The casual racism displayed in some coverage of the war in Ukraine is what Manifest Idiocy sounds like. Centuries of colonialism and imperialism breaks the brain.
Think the same thing happened during Bosnian War.
