Many international observers have – rightfully – expressed horror at the ongoing atrocities in Ukraine. However, as @MehdiRHasan and @AymanM point out, there have been more than a few instances where certain commentators’ shock at the war in Europe ebbs into outright racism.

It's time for the emergence of new leaders (not the current corrupt puppets) from African and Arab nations and communities to stand up for their own people .... cause European and US don't care! Lesson learnt :Only your own kind can save your own people! IT IS TIME!

Thank you. TOO many Canadians took a strong stand against the @liberal_party opening Canada to Syrian rufugees, because of Conservative propaganda saying Syria is a third world country. 100% of pictures of Syria on #CdnMediaFailed is bombed buildings. It's all about racism.

As an Arab, I can't help but notice that Israeli or US attacks on our people are so normalized Western media doesn't bat an eye. We are pretty damn well-dressed and watch Netflix too btw.💃 #racism
