Lifting the mandate before Super Bowl Sunday and the President's Week travel holiday next week is absurd -- this is going to be like Thanksgiving/Christmas all over again. Yes, everyone is fatigued, but we can't "will" this away. Masks will be reimposed in no time. Sigh. 🙁

So less humorous Tweet 🧵. I had to be transferred out-of-state for emergent surgery because a bed and staffed OR weren't available. mesenteric ischemia is an acute emergency. I was 6-8 hours from more dead bowel, sepsis, and quite frankly, eventual death. 1/6

Thank you @mehdirhasan for airing voices of sanity. Too many other media outlets are burying the opposition to dangerous policies currently being promoted. This includes virtually all mainstream shows.
