What is the outcome for the average American that has a lot of their wealth in their 401k and home value if the country breaks apart? Isn’t the end of America really the end of any type of economic stability?

I feel there's not enough consideration of how other countries would react to an illegitimate president taking power. Would they freeze US assets/bank accounts, impose sanctions and blockades, divest from US companies and otherwise economically isolate the "USA" at that point?
