Of course States can enact laws. However, SCOTUS seems to be 'tolerating' the States ability to circumvent the federal laws and neuter them and make them moot. Very strange fruit
Then why do we need a Supreme Court? 🤔

Texas S. B. 8 violates Sec 3a - Equality Under The Law of the Texas Constitution. They cannot write a law that discriminates by sex. Those who wrote this law, and voted for it, have committed treason against their own Constitution.
