Isn't a lot of the opposition to the voting rights bills around things like campaign financing? If it has to be sharpened to focus more on the structural reforms, I'd do it. GOP are changing state laws to overturn the will of the voters and pick electors.

It's not Democrats, though, it's just Manchin and Sinema. 90% of Dems are on board, but unfortunately, that isn't enough.

Tom's retiring from his teaching position at the Naval War College, maybe the DNC can give him a call and ask him to help them get their stuff together. He's pretty much spot on as to what the focus should be in the short-term.
