The ‘perpetually disappointed’ Sen. Susan Collins now says she supports codifying Roe v. Wade abortion protections into law. Would we even be in this position without her vote for Brett Kavanaugh?

Restoring the senate seems to be a work around of some sort in place of ending the filibuster to enact voting rights. Perhaps it means, "move along, there's nothing to see here" as democratic senators defer to the holdouts on ending or amending the filibuster.

What about the other votes - let's stop giving those silent men a pass.

Ignore her. She's a hideously mediocre shill. She fits right in with all the other mediocre, cowardly impotent middle aged GQP.
Quite honestly I’m shocked that she supports that legislation. She must be convinced it will never get a vote.

Obama meant to, but never got around to codifying abortion.🤔 Like race, the 2 parties depend on abortion to split us so they can pass laws for the rich to prey on workers
She's lying. She doesn't support it.
Let's say she and Manchin voted no. Wouldn't they nominate someone else who was anti-abortion anyway? The GOP won more seats on the senate later that year so they didn't need her vote

She doesn’t actually care. She just has this image to maintain.
oh sure, she says that now. so when they win back the majority and vote to codify the ban into law, I'm sure she'll be right there supporting them.
