A lot of people seem to not understand immunity is not binary. Can you all explain how complete antibody escape is highly unlikely and the role of Memomy B Cells and T cells for our lay audience and why they should get vaccinated?

QUESTION: would it be a plausible/ethical solution to modify the sars-cov2 virus to one that was not lethal, yet has the ability to become the dominate strain, disable it鈥檚 ability to evolve and mutate, then introduce it into society and allow herd immunity to develop, since 50%+

Earlier in the year, it was suggested a booster shot could be the solution to curtail mask mandates/suggestions. If the omicron variant shows little resistance to the vaccine could the same be said for those with a booster shot?

Additional question, more general than specific to the Omicron variant: can we expect to move from pandemic to endemic discussion anytime soon? It seems that this is what we're facing with this virus for the long haul.
