“It disturbs me and reminds me of the Soviet Union,” says @jonathanalter of the ages of prominent Democratic leaders. “It’s a sign of weakness in any society when you have people well into their seventies and eighties running things.”

What about South Africa. A bunch of old thieves, thugs and corrupt senior citizens who rule, don't give a damn about the country's future. Inequality, unemployment and an immigration policy that allows undocumented foreigners to call the shots. The country has gone 2 the dogs.
Early 1980s Soviet politburo was pathetic. Worse is so many geriatric Dems now were in some office back then you'd think they know better. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

@afelia @RenateKuenast Lustig, dass das gerade auch in Amerika diskutiert wird.
Don’t lump Bernie in with the rest of them. He is not in the same category.

Ageism is also a sign of weakness. And, it’s the last accepted prejudice in America.
2
Why are you only concerned about Democrats? Five of the ten oldest senators are Republican.

People may accuse you of being ageist.

That would be one benefit of the Democratic Party going through a few ‘years in the wilderness’ after the 2022 and 2024 elections, namely the departure of the old guard and the ascent of new faces and new ideas.
TFG's age was not an impediment to him nearly taking over by coup. Dems need to promote their young dynamic leaders. And someone should ask Sen Boxer to step down, same with Breyer. Am worried that these old folks don't see the issues as an emergency & needing decisive action.
Those old people are saving this country.
