Georgia gave Dems the WH & control of the Senate but if it’s America’s new bellwether, there's much to fear. “Why should they turn out to vote for Democrats if nothing really changes?” says @mehdirhasan. “The party needs to answer that question by delivering on its promises.”

Mehdi you are better than this. 😔 Are you trying to be the Jake Tapper of MSNBC? Stop. Just stop.

Sadly I have to agree. I'm thinking about sitting 2022 out. Why stand in long lines to vote for a party that has Manchin, Sinema, and the camera hungry @RepJayapal If the Republicans take over Congress and destroy the country, Dems are as much to blame.

I wish you wouldn't blame the Democrats, this is Manchin, who thinks the poor r lazy, & that Sinema who is in it for the money. The rest of the dems would have finished both bills w/o them sabotaging everything.

Time to encourage voters, not discourage them because they don’t March in lockstep like the GOP!!
Hard to deliver on promises when: a) the big stuff needs 60 votes and GOP won’t give any b) while they could end the filibuster they can’t because 2 moderates hard fast resistance Need more senators. Need more house members Need people to vote even if they didn’t get their way
There are two senators blocking it all - Manchin and Sinema. The only way to get the agenda passed is to increase the democratic margins in the next election. You really could be talking about that and encouraging people to vote

To expand their margins in Congress and get more comprehensive legislation passed?

“The party” needs to answer, or just 2 single members??
