As Congress figures out how much to slash from Biden’s ‘Build Back Better’ agenda, @RBReich says “the costs of not doing them, ultimately, are much greater than doing them.” “Why are we not defending our children?” he asks.

We must continue with low growth (low is good), QE, and low rates, not negative (in the case of the US). People can buy low rate treasuries and government bonds (tax exempt) and build an offshore at home, alternatively India has high rates and needs growth (for example).
I find it hard to believe that Sinema and the other "democrats" don't know what's at stake. They don't care. They are indebted to their wealthy donors. They're not interested in your children's future, the climate, famine, droughts, ending wars. They're getting payed now.
Why are we not defending our children by letting adults know that this is not Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda, but the World Economic Forum’s agenda. And since it’s happening on a global scale, we better hope it works because where else could we go?
Bullshit, they love to brainwash the American people with scare tactics. Just because we things to so call help the environment that doesn’t mean the rest of the world will do it. In fact they will probably do even more polluting.
This is an idiots argument. Hasan continues to prove why he’s irrelevant.
Cut it all. Figure that out. 1)Fed has spent $5.9T on covid 2)US has $28T+ in debt. 3)US hit debt ceiling. 4)Responsible thing is to cut spending & pay down debt. This is not sustainable This is irresponsible
I think it’s the tax language- not the costs or the programs which is causing the blockade. And everyone who takes big corp donations is potentially stopping the BBBA from moving. (Including wealthy dem leadership.) Move the tax lang to the Bi-Part bill and see if I’m right.
Based on what he determine the cost?! It takes years, if not lifetime, of research to know that. It sounds no more than just empty progressive catchphrase rhetoric.
Someone in Congress should propose a bill specifically to help children that is uncoupled from 3.5 trillion in pork-barrel politics. Surely if it is a wonderful idea it will pass on its own, yes?
The republicans rip the fabric pf democracy apart and the Democrats try to put it back together again. Just like Humpty Dumpty, only the Democrats fail to come together as one
