Reliably red states are less vaccinated and have more Covid cases than reliably blue states. Chartified, that trend “looks like a Civil War map from 1861,” says @PeterHotez. “It’s the epidemic among the Confederacy.”

Is there some set of hesitant, but potentially reachable individuals that would benefit from sincere outreach to encourage vaccination? Would time be better spent discussing this aspect? I don’t see the benefit of labeling everything politically, red vs blue. Who does it help?
15,000 plus death due do the vaccine. It's not safe and effective it's dangerous for a virus with a 99.7% survival rate.

This is the Fox News viewers map. If you let Donald in your home you are 5 times more likely to die. If only more Americans could switch to MSNBC and live.

I believe Dr Hotez is grasping at this whole blue vs red state thing. A bit obsessively so to continue interviews on CNN and MSNBC, ewww. The better study would be of districts based measures of primary care providers to the population. I’d like to see that.
And these are the same states whose denizens collect the most in benefits via social safety nets from the federal government whose elected officials decry welfare queens on conservative media…
