Earlier this year, Sen. Dianne Feinstein said she was open to filibuster reform but now she's not sure it’s needed, claiming Democracy isn’t “in jeopardy.” Her fellow Senator from California, @AlexPadilla4CA, shares his take with @MehdiRHasan:

Did she say she was open to it? I don't remember that. I have been paying attention to this because she's my Senator and I've been waiting for her to retire for years. But I could have missed it. Full disclosure, I'm still mad she voted for the Iraq war. Long term grudge.
Is Dianne aware of her surroundings these days? It would seem doubtful.
He said a lot of nothing. I hate when they just expound on the issue instead of answering the questions asked of them. Cop out!

Unfortunately Feinstein is no longer all there. There’s a time to “fold ‘em” and she should. Sadly, self awareness isn’t always strong as we age. Let’s hope Newsom pulls through this election.

Mehdi, you have been a voice of reason in an otherwise chaotic and confusing time. Thank you so much for helping my sanity.

Y’all gonna keep putting (@SenAlexPadilla) the never elected rookie senator on to normalize @GavinNewsom’s insulting pick to replace the only black women senator with @HispanicCaucus appeasement. Why y’all asking him anything?
