.@mehdirhasan: How do you explain the lack of outrage about far-right Israeli leaders and the idea of ‘Progressive Except for Palestine’? @DrShushan: “If you believe you are progressive, that should be universal and that includes the issue of Palestine.”

#Israel and #Zionism -- the Jewish right to self-determination-- are #progressive. People just don't like them because they actually succeeded. As @EinatWilf so eloquently explained months ago:
Zionism is a progressive cause that had the misfortune of success. As such, it is maligned for its very success in self-transforming victims into sovereigns, now cast as "privilege". But isn't the very goal of "progress" in progressive to move away from victim to self-possessed?

Absolutely. Progressives expect Palestine are on the wrong side of history. It is for them to stand up and tell truth to power!

You have to bring in India in all your discussions! You exhibit your Islamic tendencies and anti Hindu feelings so subtly these days - better than you used to earlier when you called emnon Muslims kafirs/infidels and denounced gay people. Have the video. You still represent Qatar
Progressive except for Palestine! Orwellian. You mean progressive ONLY for Palestine. No BDS, no rallies, no mention of 100s of conflicts & oppressed people worldwide. Even Palestinians abused in Syria & Lebanon NEVER mentioned. What a lie!
