I disagree that this was a binary choice, but we’re here now. Best to get our ppl out (Afghan too) & see if we have any leverage re: aid, trade, etc.

After 20 years wasn't it time after the US has spent $2 trillion for the Afghan Army to grow up, take off the training wheels, and fight for their country. Yet folks keep blaming the USA.

when USA and Nato leave Afghanistan in the hand of Pakistan, China, Russia and Iran military. No army could resist when it is surrounded by 4 sides.
This was an important conversation that I wish could have gone on longer.
And yet they have tens of thousands of automatic weapons that were never fired and only dropped once.
